Storyline

Once upon a time... SGT SWAT was just a small boy. He was not the mighty warrior he has become today. SGT SWAT evolved from a fear of pest dangers as a child. He went on countless insect battles with his father as a young boy. He remembers one specific encounter involving a Norway rat infestation at a farm. When asked about the incident, Sgt. Swat tells the story. “The rats were everywhere! My father and I were surrounded by rats the size of small rabbits. There were hundreds of them. Trapping was part of the battle plan. We started to set up traps. My father was using food as bait for the traps. There were so many rats that they began to follow us. I was so scared. I must have been 8 or 9 years old at the time. My father sent me to wait in the vehicle. The rats were so bad. He wanted to ensure my safety. My brave father battled these rats and saved the farm. The farmer was so happy. I knew then, someday I wanted to be as brave as my father.” It was then that the image and future of The Bug Warrior had begun. 25 years of training an knowledge have been released. The childhood dream has been realized. The Adventures of SGT SWAT The Bug Warrior has begun.

Chapter 1- The attack.
It was a blistering hot July day in Yuma Arizona. Sgt Swat set out on patrol to look for citizens in distress. He had heard of a serious attack on an unsuspecting neighborhood. Inspecting the neighborhood for enemy insects, the mighty Bug Warrior departed his war machine on foot. During his recon, he heard a loud crash. He sent out a radio call, “Sgt Swat to base.” The radio call was received, “ This is base, go ahead.” “I heard a loud crash. Do you have any reports?” Swat asked. Base replied, “No Sgt. we have not had any reports at this time.” Puzzled as to the sound and it where about, Sgt. Swat decided to return to the war machine. “Holy bug juice, they have attacked the war machine,” he belted out. “Sgt Swat to base.” “ This is base,” was the reply. “Go ahead Sgt. Swat.” “ I have been attacked! Inform the troops! The war machine is still operable. I am retreating. I must evaluate the situation and arm for combat. Sgt Swat over and out.”

The Bug Warrior returned to base in awe. He was puzzled to how such an attack could have occurred. He had been through many missions just like this one. What made this one different? How could they have flanked him? Many questions came to Sgt. Swat as he evaluated the attack. A good leader must always be his own greatest critic. In the days to come, Sgt. Swat replayed the mission over and over in his head. He thought to himself how he must apprehend the enemies that attacked the war machine. The enemy pests that attacked must be of elevated intelligence. Normal enemy pests could not have pulled this off. Sgt. Swat carefully retraced his steps. A loud voice shouted in his head, “They have a leader that has developed superior intelligence! I must catch this leader and interrogate him.” Only then can he get to the bottom of such a malicious attack. How can the leader be found. During the inspection of the war machine, only one set of insecta-prints had been discovered. He had to run the insecta-prints through NICC or National Insect Crime Computer. He could then contact the NISA, short for National Insect Security Agency. They would be able to help him.

The insecta-prints came back from the NISA. The Bug Warrior now has mug shots of the suspects. Sgt. Swat will put out an all points bulletin for the culprits. In addition, he decides to return to the scene of the attack and question any witnesses that may have information leading to the apprehension of the villains in question. Finally a break has occurred. An incoming phone call from a concerned citizen. “Good afternoon, Bug Warrior post 365 speaking. How may we be of assistance?” “I am a concerned citizen and I believe I have valuable information to the suspect photos you have released. I know where they are.” The caller replied. The operator asked, “Could you please state your name?” “ I have seen them. My name is Snickers. Could you please send Sgt. Swat to my home for a full report?” “Yes Snickers, I will have him dispatched to your address right away.” The operator hung up the phone. “We got them Sarge!”

Chapter 2 – The interrogation.

The suspects have been apprehended. It seems good detective work, as well as outstanding community involvement, does pay off. The culprits are run through booking. Although they fit the descriptions, only one set of insecta-prints match. While in deep thought, a fellow warrior cadet knocks on Sgt. Swats office door. “Come in.” Sgt. Swat replied. The young cadet walked in with enthusiasm, “I have an idea sir.” “Speak freely cadet. Time is of the essence,” Swat replied. “Sgt., We have searched a suspected hide out and found a number of costumes and disguises.” The cadet was proud of his discovery. He had been in training for some time now. This was his chance. All that he had learned must be applied. “Cadet! Job well done. Head to the interrogation room! You are with me?” Sgt. Swat jumped up with new found excitement. What had the cadet discovered? It was one culprit changing from disguise to disguise. How many other attacks has this wily pest lead? One to many I tell you.

Sgt. Swat met the young cadet in the interrogation room with one alias. His name was Guise Pesten. Swat begins the interrogation. “We know who you are!” The creature appears bold and defiant. The Sgt. goes on, “State your name for the record.” The wily insect replies, “Guise Pesten.” When spelled correctly, Pesten means plague. Guise means the same as disguise. The pest in question blurts out, “I have done nothing wrong.” Puzzled by his deception, Swat realizes more aggressive techniques must be applied. Guise Pesten by definition means disguised plague. He must be hiding more. How can an inferior life form be so clever. This creature has diverted capture for years. The interrogation will have to be intense.

Swat motions to the cadet warrior to get his bag of intimidation. The cadet hands the bag to Swat. The look of concern on the pests face grows with every moment. The Bug Warrior commander reaches in the bag and pulls out a fly swatter. He grabs a hold of Pesten and pins him against the wall. He threatens him with the fly swatter and then shouts out, “Tell me more you nuisance.” Pesten shouts out, “ I am a bug of many disguises.” Pesten being stressed continues. “That is why I have been named Guise Pesten.” This does not put the pest at the seen of the crime. This does not convict him of crimes against the people. The mighty Bug Warrior must get more information out of him. Sgt. Swat sits down at the table with Pesten. More questions go unanswered. Guise Pesten would not go down easily. Pesten jumps up and tries to bite Sgt. Swat. Swat grabs him. He took a hold of the antennae of Pesten stretching them beyond their normal structure. Pesten calls out, “I will not tell you!” Swat grabs a hold of the sides of the insects head with his eyes bulging from the pressure. “ How long are you going to continue this pointless effort of defiance,” Swat stated. It was deep into the night when the case finally broke. Pesten was starting to break. The tired Sgt held Pesten one last time. This time he held a bug spray device to him. That was all it took. Pesten yelled out, “I will tell you everything you want to know. Pesten told Swat all of it. Sgt. Swat exits the interrogation room. He shoves the door open violently. Swat yells out, “Guise Pesten had been going by the aka Bug Guise! Say it all together and it sounds like bug eyes. This clever little surname is his description!” Swat is disgusted with the wit of the creature. He again shouts out, “He has out smarted me for the last time!”

Chapter 3 – Pvt. Pesten is born.

Pesten has cut a deal. In order to avoid prosecution for war crimes against the community, Pesten agreed to become an allies of Bug Warrior. He will be an informant for the mighty Bug Warrior. Commander Sgt Swat releases a statement to the new press. The Warrior Daily front page headlines read, “Bug Guise Captured.” Guise Pesten has been broken down. Pesten has found a new home. Bug Warrior is his place now. Sgt Swat has to begin training Pesten in the ways of the Warrior in order to make him the most powerful allies ever. He already knows how masterful Pesten is with his guises. The art of bug warfare has come down to intelligence and innovation rather than raw fire power. Pesten will serve Sgt. Swat well. The question remains. What type of relationship will they form. It is imperative that some type of friendship and understanding be developed. The first order of business for Swat and Pesten is swearing him in as a Bug Warrior recruit. Pesten is sworn in. “ Repeat after me. I, state your name, swear to protect all citizens and their communities against the invasion of unwanted pests,” Swat says with enthusiasm. Pesten repeats the same. Swat goes on, “It is my duty to rid homes and business' of dangerous pests and their attacks.” A pause occurred then Pesten followed. Swat continues,“ I will remain loyal to the Bug Warrior at all times and protect all citizens against insects foreign and domestic.” Pesten repeated. Then Swat laid down the final conviction, “ I am a Bug Warrior!” Pesten then repeats with less conviction. The words for Pesten, came from his mouth with difficulty. Sgt. Swat was not worried for he now knew he was an insect warrior. The training would whip him into shape.

Chapter 4- Bug Warrior training camp.

It is day one. Sgt Swat is used to waking up new cadets at 0400. This is 4 in the morning for all you citizens. This has always been a fun time for Swat. Pesten had a different plan. What Swat had forgotten was that bugs are up all kind of crazy hours into the night. The sarge begins to move. He lifts is arms up over his head as if to stretch. He slowly opens one eye. He starts to focus and opens the other. Sarge wide eyed and startled with amazement, sees Pesten standing over him is waving all of his legs. Pesten shouts out, “Boo!” The sarge lunges to his feet and shouts out, “ What is the matter with you!” Pesten falls back holding his stomach with laughter, “Don't let the bed bugs bite Sarge.” It' appears that when the roles are reversed, it's not quite as funny to Swat. Pesten reaches out, “ Sarge, I got your coffee just the way you like it.”

The Sargent rubbing his eyes grumpily remembers his manners. “Thank you Pesten. I see this is going to be quite different than what I'm used to.

Sgt Swat and Pesten sit down to have coffee. Swat and Pesten where having their first real conversation. This is when the bonding began. Swat chuckled with amazement as he watched Pesten prepare his coffee and food at the same time. He had so many hands and arms working together. Pesten held the coffee cup with one hand while he added cream with another. He had a third hand add sugar. The forth had was stirring the coffee. This was all happening as he was telling Swat of past adventures. How amazing. Talk about multitasking. Sgt Swat asked Pesten, “ Are you hungry?” Pesten replied, “Sarge, you know bugs are always hungry. Let's eat.” Pesten started with eggs and bacon. Sarge agreed that eggs and bacon was the way to go. Pesten then reached for the peanut butter. He started to apply it to his eggs. The Sarge leaned back in his seat and raised his eye brows. Pesten then grabbed the jar of pickles and put slices of the sour pickles on his toast. Sgt Swat disgustedly pinched his nose and blurted out, “Holy bug juice. What in the World are you doing?” Pesten grinned, “Eating breakfast. Sarge you know bugs are omnivorous. Omnivorous means will pretty much eat anything.” Sarge shakes his head and shutters, “ I didn't know that meant at the same time. Yuck!” Swat slapped his leg and laughed with Pesten. The two were going to make a great team.

Pesten and Swat head off to the gym to get a workout in. Exercise is extremely important to stay healthy and mentally sharp. Sgt Swat bragged to Pesten how he loved to work out and was in pretty good shape. What he didn't know is how easy it would be for Pesten. Swat had forgotten how strong bugs are. Some of them can lift 80 times there own body weight. That would be like Sgt Swat lifting 4 cars at the same time. This would be some feat. Running was equally easy for Pesten. It seems the more legs you have, the less tired they become. Pesten could handle the rock climb wall like it wasn't even there. Everything the Sargent threw at him, he conquered with ease. Sgt Swat frustrated with how easy it all was for Pesten, decided it was time to head to the classroom for some education training. Every one can benefit from school. Education is so important for humans and bugs alike.

It was mid morning and the Arizona sun was becoming intense as usual. Class room time would we perfect in a nice air conditioned building. Sgt Swat began with a class in insect tactics and battle planning. Sgt Swat would ask a question and Pesten would raise one hand at a time until 6 hands were in the air. He would repeatedly yell out with laughter, “Pick me, pick me, no, pick me.” It turns out Pesten has quite the sense of humor. Pesten knew almost all the answers correctly. He knew everything there was to know about bugs. Pesten would probably teach the Sargent a thing or two about bugs before class was over. What started out as instruction, slowly began to be a conversation an mutual respect for each other. They were now sitting down across from each other exchanging experiences. They spoke with equal amazement and enthusiasm. What new adventures they could have together. This was the beginning of a new era and a life long friendship. Sgt Swat asked, “Did anyone else come close to catching you?” Pesten replied as he scratched his head, “Only one.” Pesten now had the mighty Bug Warriors attention. The Sargent sat on the edge of his seat. He was pondering. Who could it be? Who was this person. Swat had to know. “Pesten, you have to tell me. It's driving me crazy.” Pesten smirked, “I think he would be a great asset to our cause.” Smugly with his arms folded and head tilted, Pesten adds, “What do you think Sarge?” Swat sprang out of his chair, “Tell me. Tell me now!” “Well, in the insect world-”Pesten pauses. Swat squirms in his seat with full attention on Pesten. Pesten smiles and continues, “the RAMINATOR!” Swat sets back with a puzzled look on his face and replies, “Who?” “The RAMINATOR!”, Pesten repeats. Sgt Swat raises his hand to his chin with his index finger across his mouth. He looked deep in thought. He thought to himself, the RAMINATOR, hmm. “ I got it!”he blurts out. “That sounds like RAM Pest Management. We must contact them Pesten. We need them on our team. I want this RAMINATOR. Get me the RAMINATOR Pesten.”
